Story

A group of 13 of us will be a taking on the challenge of running 1000km between us (77km each person) during the month of June in aid of noahs ark children's charity. We we're looking for a way to get active again as we (hopefully) come out the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, and thought that we could do some good for charity at the same time. This challenge will mean that for most of us, our activity levels will need to increase from running 0km per week, to just under 20 km per week, per person. We will need all the motivation we can get for the coming month and we will be truly grateful for all donations no matter how big or small. All activities will be tracked and you will be able to follow our progress through this just giving page and through the hash tag #1000kminjune. Below you will find a list of participants followed by a piece from our chosen charity Noahs Ark.

Participants: Kyle Hall, Sam Robinson, Ross Evans, Jack Rees, Jack Rowlands, Harri Lee, Joe Ahmed, Josh Bowden, Josh Jones, Paul Ryan, Rory Harries, Mike Benbow, Aaron Yarwood.

We're helping the Noahs Ark Childrens Hospital Charity ensure that it can continue to support children, young people and families during the current COVID-19 current crisis and beyond. Noah's Ark Charity relies solely on public donations. As an organisation they always have a small reserve of money set aside that allows them to continue to support the hospital if income were to decrease for a while. But this situation is unprecedented and with the significant drop in income they have already seen, we are concerned and want to do everything possible to ensure the charitys stability.Covid-19 has already made a big impact on the ability to raise funds. To date the charity has made the difficult decision to cancel or postpone events and their little shop in the hospital has had to close. This may be the tip of the iceberg.Noah's Ark Charity remains 100% committed to the care and well being of the children and families at the Noahs Ark Children. Thank you for your support.
