Story
For those who know me well, you will know I HATE running. However, in order to raise as much as possible for this incredible charity I realise I need to do something challenging!!
I will be running 26.2 miles over 7 days starting from this Sunday 26th April, the day the London Marathon was due to take place. It will be tough for me as I'm not a runner, but no where near as tough as what families have to go through when their child has cancer.
Please support me and my legs today! I'd love to hit £500 - doing so will really spur me on to get up and go each day and make the pain all worthwhile! THANK YOU! x
ABOUT CLIC SARGENT
Everyday 12 children and young people hear the devastating
news that they have cancer. Cancer is not stopping for Coronavirus, and CLIC Sargent's services are on the frontline, supporting families facing cancer.
Demand for these services has never been higher from families already facing cancer and now anxious because of Coronavirus too. The
families CLIC Sargent supports are worried about their child’s risk of
infection; some are separated by isolation rules; struggling financially or
practically. Things like getting to their child’s bedside in hospital or even
putting food on the table are challenges families are telling us they are
facing right now.
CLIC Sargent, is 100% funded by voluntary donations. So whilst the urgent need for support and hardship grants is rising rapidly, the income available to provide this support is plummeting, as many fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed.
