Story
Proving that even 34 year olds can be bossed around by their big sisters, I was persuaded to sign up for the 2015 Cancer Research UK Winter Run. This is a 10km race through central London on Sunday 1 February, when it's likely to be a bit nippy out.
However, it's all in a good cause, with an expected 15,000 competitors raising much needed money to help beat cancer. Cancer is something that affects all of us in one way or another, and for my part, I'll be doing this in memory of Gilly Dager-Brown and Linda Mapp.
It's also a good way for me to try and get a bit fit, having never done any sort of running before.
To make it more fun, I'm doing the run in a team made up of me, my brother Dai, my sister Abby and Abby's sister in law Lesley. At least if we're depressingly slow, we can be slow together!
Thanks for your support, and hopefully I won't let you down.
Cheers
Pete
