In memory of James Renshaw
We provide emotional support to help people in distress

Story

We are raising money for Samaritans of Shrewsbury in memory of James Renshaw, a much loved son, brother, nephew and friend who tragically passed away on February 5th, 2011.

To mark 10 years since James’ passing, we are running a Marathon around Shrewsbury on Saturday 29th May 2021. We wanted to make a special effort this year to raise money for Samaritans in James’ memory which is now more important than ever as they continue to provide an ongoing, crucial charitable service through the COVID pandemic.

There are no words to describe the sadness and pain that has been felt by us all over the last 10 years and despite the fact that so much time has passed, the loss of James still leaves an empty space in all our hearts.

Samaritans of Shrewsbury help people who are in crisis, feel distressed, or are thinking of taking their own life. They give callers the time and space to talk about their feelings, helping them explore their options and supporting them while they seek a way to face the future.

Thank you for your support!
