Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Most of you know the story of James' wee nephew Gregor and his brave and successful battle against cancer of the brain and spine. He was only five when he fell sick out of the blue. His chances of survival were less than twenty percent. Without Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital he wouldn't be with us today.
They used techniques that had never been tried in this country before and they never gave up on him. And all through the next few years of operations and treatment, the fabulous staff not only looked after Gregor but supported his wee sister and his mum and dad through some pretty tough times.
Today one of Gregor's favourite games is beating up his uncle James - bruises Jimbob is happy to have. Gregor is an amazing wee boy, courageous, funny, loving and most of all full of life.
Great is a fantastic hospital which offers children and families across the country facing the unthinkable hope and support. But they can only keep doing so because generous people like you help them to provide services that otherwise wouldn't be available. Our family has more reason than most to be thankful so I'd like to give something back and I'm asking you - family, friends and colleagues - to help me.
This September I am going to run the 2010 Great North Run - the world's biggest half marathon - for . Please sponsor me. It doesn't matter what you give, whatever you can afford, it all adds up!
