Story
I am turning 18 this summer and as I am taking a gap year I wanted to use that time to do some fundraising. I would like to work with young children in the future so I have chosen three children’s charities to raise money for, and I have created Ruby’s Challenge 18. My aim is to complete 18 different events/challenges in my 18th year in the hope of raising £1,800 to spread across the three charities.
I have chosen to fundraise for Rainbow Trust because they give one-to-one support to families who have children that are seriously ill. They can help to explain diagnosis and treatment and listen to any worries that they may have. Not only do they support the families but also provide activities for the children and their siblings.
