Story
I am turning 18 this summer and as I am taking a gap year I wanted to use that time to do some fundraising. I would like to work with young children in the future so I have chosen three children’s charities to raise money for, and I have created Ruby’s Challenge 18. My aim is to complete 18 different events/challenges in my 18th year in the hope of raising £1,800 to spread across the three charities.
Unfortunately there are many children that are diagnosed with incurable illnesses. That’s why the second charity I have chosen to fundraise for is Demelza UK. They support seriously ill children and try to give them the best time in their last few months. They support the families as well and help siblings deal with what is happening to their brother or sister. Demelza provide opportunities for families to create memories with their child while they can.
