Story
Ruby is 1 of 9 Girl Guides to be selected to represent Wales at the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023.
Scouting and Guiding aim to help all children reach their full potential. Scouts and Guides provide training and experiences to give young people opportunities to build lifelong friendships, grow as individuals and see as much of life as possible to help them find their own path.
The World Scout Jamboree is the pinnacle of World Scouting; the largest event organised by the largest youth movement in the world. Held every four years around the world, the next is in Saemangeum, South Korea, in 2023.
The patrol of 9 Girl Guides that Ruby is part of is itself part of a unit of 4 patrols - and the other 3 patrols are all scouts (boys and girls) from Shropshire. This page is organised through the Shropshire Scouts account but the funding through this page will directly support Ruby rather than the whole unit.
The Welsh Guides and Shropshire Scouts will be rubbing shoulders with young people from over 200 countries, and joining together in a spirit of friendship and peace to play our part in making the world a better place.
