FIRST RACE 27 MARCH 2011 - 10K IN LONDON (DETAILS BELOW)

Thanks for looking at my Just Giving page that is helping raise funds for Rubinstein Taybi Syndrom Support Group.

I have set myself a challenge that I hope will inspire you to give generously for a very good cause.

The reason for raising funds for RTS is a long time friend's son 'Boyd' has been diagnosed with the disability and initialy I was asked about fundraising and decided I would like to help personaly.

This disability occurs in approximately 1 in 125 000 births.  What causes the chromosomal defect is not known, and there is no known cure. This is a very rare and unknow condition in respect of public awareness, more information can be found at http://www.rtsuk.org/home/index.asp

The challenge that I have set is that this year I intend to run a 10K race in England on the 27th March 2011 and Wales (dates to be confirmed), a Half Marathon in Glasgow on 4th September 2011 and the ultimate goal the Dublin Marathon on 31st October 2011. Therefore named the 4 nations challenge.

Joining me in the Half Marathon in Glasgow is the childs uncle Andy Cheape so please support him as generously as this will be his first long distance run.

So please dig deep and donate now.
