Story
This year, my grandmother Barbara passed away. She was a lifelong supporter of the RNLI, and I am running this year's London Marathon in her memory and to raise funds for the RNLI's lifesaving work.
Many of us know about the RNLI and have come to take it for granted. Anyone who has watched the BBC's Saving Lives at Sea (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0920fvl) will appreciate the scale of the work the RNLI does, and the impact of funding on how it can continue to save lives at sea.
The RNLI has over 400 vessels, as well as providing seasonal lifeguards and a Flood Rescue Team. They also do excellent work abroad, working with international partners to prevent deaths from drowning.
It is an excellent charity and one which I'm proud to be running for. Any support which you can give would be greatly appreciated.
