Many of you will know that our daughter, Skye, was born in April 2009 at 27 weeks.  She received wonderful care at the Royal Berkshire hospital in Reading, Gloucestershire Royal hospital in Gloucester and Cheltenham General hospital in Cheltenham.  It was a very traumatic time but we came through it stronger, and having made some wonderful new friends.

Skye is now a year old.  She is getting into everything, sitting, rolling and not far off crawling.  In October she, I and some of those friends will be walking round the 5k Big Fun Run at Cheltenham Racecourse (well, ok, she may well be being pushed, but you get the idea).  It may not seem far to many people, but those of you who know my fitness levels will appreciate that, for me, it's plenty!  We are raising money for Bliss - the charity for babies born too soon, too small, too sick - in other words, our special care babies.  All babies are special.  Ours are also little miracles!  Please dig deep to support this wonderful charity!
