This beautiful young girl is Sugar.  She came to us as a stray with a limp which we have had investigated by the local vets and found that despite only being 18 months old she has a luxating patella. 
This means that when she walks her knee cap slips out of place – ouch!  She also has some hip dysplasia.  The next step for Sugar is surgery to fix her knee, but it is a major surgery that would usually cost £2000 – fortunately the specialist orthopaedic vet has generous offered to do the operation at half the cost bringing the total down to £1000 as we are a self-funding branch.  

Until we can raise the funds Sugar will continue to be given pain relief to make her more comfortable, and of course get lots of TLC from our staff and amazing volunteers.

Sugar is a sweet, affectionate cat that deserves a second chance at a happy, pain free life, being able to run, jump and play, just like other cats.
