Pokemon Themed Fundraiser for WAAD, 4 April 2020
On Saturday, 2 May 2020 we will be taking part in YANA to let you know You Are Not Alone as part of our #Ways2Cope campaign in hopes of uniting more people through games and raising vital funds and awareness for Autism research.

Story

Hi everyone!

After the success of #PlayRelaxMode, this is an event that I created based on the feedback of autistic young people at Play Expo Margate. Like me, many autistic people have Pokemon as a special interest. It involves facts, statistics, collecting and repetition which can be things that neurodiverse people really like.

Here's a little of what will happen:

LottoID - just like in the games, we will have a LottoID event. Every £1 you donate earns you one number in the LottoID. There will be a bundle of prizes that will be available to the winners (drawn at random). You can dis-apply from the Lotto if you wish by messaging me privately.

Who's That Pokemon - RC (aged 6) is preparing some fantastic artwork of Pokemon and just like in the original series, we will be guessing which Pokemon it is. He doesn't make it easy, so be prepared to flex your knowledge!

Game Play - I aim to play as much Pokemon live on stream as I can, either via original hardware or emulation. Join me in a journey of 24 years of the franchise and explore some of the titles you may not have seen for years!

Stories - Hear about the lives of autistic people and why research, fundraising and support is so important to them. Learn about Autistica and how they work, including their work on mental health, social care, early language development and more

FUN! - If you are familiar with my streams, you know I go all out for my fundraisers. There will be (but not limited to), themed costumes, taste tests, crafts, gaming, quizzes, competitions and much much more. Even if you aren't a Pokemon fan, you can join in the spirit of the event and support a great cause.

I really hope you can join me for this fundraiser on Saturday 4th April 2020, with times to be confirmed. I am passionate about this charity and  how it is guided by autistic people and for autistic people and the timing is perfect to link with World Autism Awareness Day. The stream will be family friendly and suitable for all ages. There will be moderators on hand to supervise a positive experience.

I look forward to sharing the day with you! Thanks for reading.
