Story

I’m holding a virtual (and not so virtual) beach party themed ACNH stream to fundraiser for Autistica as one of their Autistica Plays ambassadors.

Autistica involve autistic people in every aspect of their structure from the CEO to the volunteers. They also involve autistic people in the direction and choices in their funding selection and respect the sorts of research that autistic people want and need for direct improvements in their lives. I wouldn’t represent them so passionately if I didn’t believe in their message.

So let’s have fun! I want to see you wearing flower garlands, drinking beach cocktails, and joining in the games I have planned including a treasure hunt, digital relay, nautical musical chairs and much more. I’ll be holding a couple of competitions and might even try and find some prizes - certainly some gift vouchers for my company will be available!

See you on Thursday 30th July. Time to be announced with a family element and an afterparty for the grown ups!

The pandemic has left an already isolated and vulnerable community even more so. Our work and the friendships made through Animal Crossing have been a lifeline for many autistic people like Georgia during lockdown. But with no government support insight for medical research, autism could be one of the hardest-hit areas. Now its the time to protect our research because, without it, autistic people and their families will be left even further behind. Many of your own friends, colleagues, and players need us now more than ever. Join us on 30th July for a special day of gaming, friendship, and fundraising!
