Royal Parks Half Marathon 2010 · 10 October 2010 ·

We safe and decent homes for families to build new lives, hopes and opportunities

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May this year team of us went to Egypt with Habitat for Humaninty to help build poverty housing, Apart from the dodgy stomach for most of the trip! It was an amazing experience getting to help build houses and especially meeting the families you were helping rather than making an anonymous donation into a charity pot.

We still have some money to raise to reach the original target we had set for the trip and so I have foolishly decided to enter into the Royal Parks Half Marathon. I'm going to try and get round in a time around 1hr30ish which with my ageing legs and dodgy knee should be a challenge!

So if you would like to donate however big or small it would be greatly appreciated. I'll even share the photos and video of me looking like death I think they do of you finishing the race to any who sponsors!

About the charity

We believe decent homes are the heartbeat of strong communities and so we also fight for land rights for women, upgrade urban slums and informal settlements, improve access to water and sanitation, and help communities become more resilient in the face of natural disasters.
