RHS pupils are encouraged to take part in a charity challenge to
raise funds for local charities. This year we are hoping to accumulate a distance of 16,800 Km, which is the distance from Holbrook to Sydney Australia to follow in our illustrious alumnus, Admiral Arthur Phillip's footsteps. He was the first Governor of New South Wales and is credited with establishing the first settlement at Sydney. The challenges will be completed by individuals, teams or house groups each of which will include a distance, and all the distances completed will be recorded and added together. The challenge is not a small one as every pupil will need to travel on average over 22 Km. Some will do more, especially the cyclists, others will do less. The challenge will be appropriate to the child. Further details will come through houses but all are encouraged to take part.
The Suffolk Community Foundation support local charities and are the vehicle through which the RHS community make charitable donations.
We would be delighted if you could support the pupils to raise funds.
