Story
We are taking on 485 miles from the most northerly colleague to the most southerly. This will take place from 30th April to 3 May, and we will do this by running, walking, cycling, swimming, skipping or anything else we think of. All the funds we raise will contribute to our Captain Tom 100 Challenge target of 100 hours time of one of our Helpline Nurses. £585 will pay for three hours of a nurses time. These calls give people affected by osteoporosis somewhere to turn for the advice they need. Thank you very much for your support.
The Royal Osteoporosis Society is the UK’s only national charity dedicated to bone health and osteoporosis. We work to improve the bone health of the nation and support everyone with osteoporosis to live well through our support services and advice.
Osteoporosis causes bones to weaken and break more easily. There are 3.5 million people living with it in the UK today. Through our work with healthcare professionals and policy-makers, we influence and shape policy and practice at every level. We are also driving research and development of new treatments, working towards a future without osteoporosis.
