Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

At the eleventh hour, six colleagues from the Tideway project volunteered to crew the magnificently restored Royal Dolphin Watermans Cutter. The Dolphin's mixed ability crew of Ian, Dave, Nimalka, Marcia, Liz, and Clare guided by coxswain Christine will row 14 miles in the inaugural Regatta London. This unique event will fundraise for great causes, connect sport with the environment and inspire thousands to take up water sports.

Funds raised by our crew will help Thames21 with their core work, empowering Londoners to fight plastic and other forms of river  pollution , helping more people discover and visit their local river, restoring rivers back to a more natural state, so that people and wildlife  can cope better with the impacts of climate change such as flooding and drought.

No public body has responsibility for taking litter out of the River Thames. Thames21 was established to address this problem and work with communities to improves London's rivers and canals.

Please,  help us reach our fundraising target  for this unique and important charity.
