In memory of Roy Reardon
We raise funds for The National Hospital to improve the lives of neurology patients

Story

Roy passed away peacefully at home on 17th February. He had been suffering for some time with Lewy body dementia and Parkinson's.

The family would like donations in memory of Roy to go towards research into rare dementias and also to support those who are living with the diagnosis and their families, friends and carers.

Donations received will be split between the Rare Dementia Support Fund and the Dementia Research Fund, both held by The National Brain Appeal.

The Rare Dementia Support Fund provides specialist support group services for individuals living with or affected by six types of rare dementia, including Lewy body dementia.

The Dementia Research Fund funds the UCL Dementia Research Centre, a hub of patient-centred research into dementias. As well as clinical studies and trials in Alzheimer's disease and other common causes of dementia, the Dementia Research Centre has particular expertise in young onset, inherited and unusual dementias. Their work focuses on identifying and understanding the disease processes that cause dementia, the factors that influence these disease processes, ways to improve diagnosis and treatments, and how best to support people with dementia and their families.

Thank you for your support,

Joan, Kate, Sarah and John
