Story

Well, conquered the Sahara last year so why not the Arctic next! It's only a 120km stroll on ski's in temperatures as low as minus 35.....no problem!! Oh yes, got to drag my own sledge and equipment aswell.....interesting!! It sounds so much fun!!

But seriously, if we don't all do our bit from time to time, charities like Beaumond House just wouldn't survive. They do a tremendous job caring for people with life shortening illness's and with only four beds available the care everyone gets is virtually one to one. The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is always friendly and comforting.

So a little bit of exercise every now and then and a few laughs along the way won't hurt. Plus, what an experience! It's not every day you walk across the Arctic!

Once again i'm doing this in memory of my grandad who was cared for by the hospice until he passed away in 2011 so it is something extremely close to my heart. So please, if at all possible dig deep. It'll make you feel all warm inside, honest!!
