Story

I was diagnosed with scleroderma in January 2022. My disease progressed quite rapidly and I didn’t know what was happening at the time. My symptoms started with Raynaud’s, ulcerated finger tips, hardening of skin tissue and then issues with breathing and digestion.  It was only when I received my diagnosis that I read up on other people’s experiences of living with scleroderma. I found that every single case was unique.

I am organising a walk to help raise money and awareness for SRUK. SRUK is the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of those living with scleroderma and Raynaud's. If this helps one person who is struggling with what changes are happening, then I have achieved what I set out to do. Please visit the website for information about the disease.
