Amelia was 9 years old when she was diagnosed with Wilms Tumour and it was a big shock to everyone, especially Rebecca and I as her parents. Up to that point she had rarely been ill with anything and was a very happy girl and it was only by accident it was found.

Amelia fought for well over 2 years undergoing surgery to remover her kidney, Radiotherapy, numerous types of Chemotherapy and endless nights in hospital but she always had that smile on her face. It was a rollercoaster of a journey that I would not wish on my worst enemy and unfortunately I know realise it is more common than I ever thought.

Families need support financially and emotionally through this traumatic time and CLIC Sargent provide that as best they can. However they need funds to do that, that is why we want to raise as much money as possible in Amelia's memory.  

Hopefully this will help us be more positive at this traumatic time. We will be welcoming family members and friends on individual days to do runs with us to honour Amelia, so they can feel part of this experience too.
