Solidarity with Nepal
a charity night of entertainment, good food and good people
July 23rd, 7pm, The Rag Factory
The evening is arranged by ethical clothing company People Tree in aid of their partner group KTS, hand-knitters who lost their homes in Nepal; the goal is to fundraise £50,000 to help rebuild 146 homes damaged.
Join comedians Sara Pascoe (Stand Up for the Week, Mock the Week) and Trodd en Bratt (nominated for Best Comedy in the BBC Audio Drama Awards 2015), Craft Theatre, Huge (musical comedian) and Leo Law (singer/song writer) for a night of entertainment, great food, organic wine and fashion to raise money in aid of those affected by the recent earthquakes in Nepal.
People Tree and Pants to Poverty will also be holding a fashion sample sale.
Food will be provided by Joe’s Kid, dishing up lashings of al dente wonder provided by Danni's "stallion" uncle who owns Verdi's restaurant in Mile End. Vintage Roots is very kindly sponsoring the event by providing the best, ethically sourced organic wine.
Finally, founder and CEO of People Tree, Safia Minney MBE and Dr Unni Krishnan, Head of Disaster Preparedness from Plan International NGO, will be speaking about the Nepalese crisis.
Tickets are £15.00. All proceeds will go directly to People Tree’s partner, KTS and Fair Trade Group Nepal.
