24 Hour Tennis Marathon, 13 May 2023
On the weekend of 13-14 May 2023 David Lloyd Newbury will be hosting the annual Sportathon Weekend to raise much needed funds for New Life to help support sick and premature babies.

Story

I am honoured to be part of a team, as Captain, undertaking the 24 hour tennis marathon between 13-14th May 2023. As a super keen tennis player myself, this marathon will be a real test of my strength and stamina to raise as much money as I can for this wonderful charity. Having known Trev (the founder) for the last 15 years since playing for Kintbury Tennis Club, his work has been such an inspiration, so to be part of a team and helping raise funds for this really is an honour. As a busy mum of three little lads, they will be my biggest mascots for me and every reminder to keep me going when I think I'm running out of steam on the day / night.

I will give it my all, aim to raise as many precious pennies as I can in the process and hopefully raise a beer at the finish line for this incredible charity that has saved so many precious lives already.

New Life is always finding ways of raising funds to help sick and premature babies. The donations we receive really make a huge difference and over the years we have managed to help so many tiny lives.

About the charity

New Life is a registered charity that is dedicated to raising money for special care baby units across the UK. The Charity was launched by Trevor Goodall in 1995 in memory of his sons who were born 3 months premature. Sadly they both died after a week but their struggle inspired Trevor to make a difference. In 2021 the Charity reached the amazing £1Million in donations which has helped so many sick and premature babies and their families.
