Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Why not go to our blog or facebook too?
Our names are Andrew Smith and Jij Chow - rowers based at the Imperial College School of Medicine. We've rowed together for a long time and wanted to take things to the next level with an long endurance event. Over our clinical years we've heard about and seen first hand the work of Macmillan staff; it's been truly inspiring - the decision to support them was easy.
The 170km Oxford to London trip is traditionally completed by pleasure cruisers and wide-hulled row boats over a week or so. However, in the 'Go Big or Go Home' spirit of our squad, we've decided to do it in (as far as we know) the smallest racing crew in under 3 days. This means a tough row both physically and mentally.
All the way we will be supported by our glamorous support team Lauren Crook and Emma Stimson, keeping us fed, watered and generally looked after throughout the event.
Whilst Andy and I are confident we can go the physical distance, we need your help to 'Go Big' with the fundraising as well as the row. Let's all do it for Macmillan!
