On Sunday 11th Octoer I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, kicking up autumn leaves along a 13.1 mile route through St James Park, Green Park, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
I'm doing this for Habitat for Humanity. The charity was started in 1976 with the sole aim of tackling
poverty housing on a global scale. Thirty two years later it
works in over 90 countries around the world and has built 300,000
homes in partnership with people in need of safe, decent housing. Have a look at www.habitatforhumanity.org.uk for more information.
I think it's a pretty worthy cause. I've pledged to raise £200 but I'm sure can do better than that with so many generous friends.
Justgiving is very easy to use and the money goes straight to the charity. Please, donate something. Even better, donate and come along to see me finish (hopefully) on the 11th at the end, along the south side of Hyde Park near Knightsbridge.
