Story
We’re J15 rowers (Nate, Jack, Sarvesh, Ale, Otto) who train 5-6 times a week on the Tideway. Being on the water so often, the river has become our second home and an important part of our lives. Seeing the water getting polluted and having trash dumped into it is a very sad thing, especially knowing that while it may not seem so, the Thames is home to a vital and thriving ecosystem. So we’re fundraising for the Thames Rivers Trust, a charity devoted to maintaining and protecting the ecology of the Thames. We hope to raise money for every kilometre we row, whether it be on the Thames, abroad, while racing, or on the erg. Each week, we will be posting our training progress and how far we’ve rowed that week. On average, we row 40-50km on the river a week, and run/erg 10-15km a week in land training sessions. Every donation you make will help protect the River Thames and its diverse ecosystems, keeping it pristine for everyone who uses it and for future generations.
