Rowena's BVDA

BVDA Malawi Project 2018 · 12 February 2018
This summer I have been selected to go to Nancholi, Malawi
with 5 other students from Bristol University, as part of the charity BVDA. This student-led charity works in partnership with communities and grass-root organisations in order to deliver sustainable development, including education, water, sanitation and health initiatives. This year they will also be running projects in Uganda and Nepal. For more information about BVDA please visit http://www.bvda.org.uk/
The Malawi Project sees volunteers being involved in a wide
range of activities, such as raising HIV/AIDs awareness and testing, leading gender equality workshops, youth skills and empowerment, and capacity building with partner NGO Nancholi Youth Organisation (NAYO). For more information about NAYO please visit https://nayoinmalawi.wordpress.com/
As a volunteer, I have been set the goal of raising £750, all of which will go towards resources for the project itself and not my personal costs. I am doing various things to raise this money, so any donations would be greatly appreciated. I’m looking forward to this amazing experience and hope that together with your donations we will be able to make a positive difference to the Nancholi community, as well as the greater Malawian community.
Thank you!
