Story
On Sunday 5th April I will be covering the height of Mount Everest by running up and down my stairs at home. As travelling to the fells is not on the table at the moment, and the ultra I had spent six months training for has been cancelled, this seemed like the next best thing!
This effort will be in aid of Rosemere Cancer Foundation who have been indispensable to several people close to me, and like all medical charities are feeling the stretch in these tough times we’re going through.
My stairs have been measured at 234cm and Everest is 8,848m high, which means I will have to ascend and descend my stairs 3,782 times. I estimate this will take me about 13 hours (if all goes to plan).
The event will be live streamed on Facebook all day, starting from 7am.
