Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. In 2020, a team of runners from Rougemont School pledged to raise £25,000 for St David’s Hospice Care with runners signed up for the Newport Half Marathon and 10K races. Two members of staff had also secured charity places with St David’s Hospice for the iconic London Marathon however due to the pandemic, all races had to be deferred and our fundraising efforts were put on hold.

Now we are back! As of August 2022, the Rougemont Runners will be lacing up their trainers once again to honour our pledge of raising £25,000 for St David's Hospice Care. A number of staff, students (nursery to Sixth Form) and parents have already joined the Rougemont Runners team and have signed up to run from 2.4K all the way up to 26.2 miles with three members of staff taking on the London Marathon - Mrs Bateman, Mrs L Jones and Mrs Exley. We even have a team member running the iconic Chicago and New York marathons all in aid of St David's Hospice Care.
