Story
Dave, Mahmood, Richard and Tom are members of Rotherham Wheelers Cycling Club (RWCC). Starting on 27 June 2019, they are planning to cycle the full length of the River Rhine from its rising in Switzerland to its outfall into the sea at the Hook of Holland. This will involve a journey of some 930 miles through Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Germany, Austria, France and Holland over 14 days. The average age of the team is 63 with the oldest being 71 and they are doing this ride to raise funds to help support homeless people in Rotherham. There will be no support or back-up and everything needed will be carried on their bikes. All money raised will go to Shiloh Rotherham. Shiloh means “a place of refuge” and this unique charity provides a wide range of services for those who find themselves homeless.
