Event: Kilimanjaro Climb for The Good Grief Project, from 10 October 2023 to 21 October 2023
An intrepid team of Good Grief supporters will attempt to climb Mt.Kilimanjaro - 10th October 2023. All funds go directly to helping bereaved parents or siblings discover new and creative ways of expressing their grief.

Story

One of the toughest but possibly the most exhilarating adventures Ross will ever embark upon. At a colossal 5,895 metres Kilimanjaro in East Africa is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the earth's crust.

Our challenge is to climb above the sea of clouds to reach the summit. All money raised will help bereaved families on low incomes attend one of The Good Grief Projects Active Grief Weekends.

These residential retreats are especially designed to support bereaved parents and siblings who have experienced the death of a child (of any age). The aim is to help them find new and creative ways of expressing their grief. The Good Grief Project organizes 3 weekends annually, each one costing around £14,000 and although some parents can contribute to the cost (usually £250-£350 a head) we want them to be available to everyone, especially those on low incomes.

It will be both a mentally and physically tough week for Ross and experiencing discomfort and pain is a given, but this is nothing compared to the pain of grief following the death of a much loved son, daughter or sibling. No one should have to bury their child.
