Story
On the 26th September (rescheduled from 2020), I will be running the Hackney Marathon. My son, Oscar, sadly passed away on Christmas Eve 2019 from an undiagnosed bran tumour at the age of 2 years old.
I will be running for HeadSmart who raise awareness for early diagnosis of brain tumours & fund ongoing treatments. The money raised is incredibly important to ensure other families don't have to experiance the pain and loss that myself and my family have suffered.
I also will be running for StrongMen who tackle emotional and mental health issues brought about by the sufferring from bereavement. StrongMen have supported my in getting myself back on track and not rumbling down a dark hole mental wellbeing. Being able to talk to someone else who is going through the same feelings as you has been invaluable to me. Knowing that you are not alone, and feel you can talk is incredibly important.
