I know with marathon/adventure season upon us, everyone is asking for some cash just now but I'd very much appreciate anything you could spare for a very good cause!

Sadly, two weeks ago, we lost my Dad to a very rare form of cancer. After appearing to recover very well from a major (but apparently successful) operation, he went from enjoying the football, Cricket and Rugby on the sofa at home, to passing only 10 days later.

For those of you who knew my Dad, you will know what an amazing person he was. His brilliant personality & great sense of humor made him very popular and he will be sorely missed.

 
After seeing just how tirelessly he fought to the end, I've decided to use my love/hate relationship with running to struggle round the Manchester Marathon on October 10th for the Beatson Cancer Charity. Their specialist centre in Glasgow did absolutely everything they could to save him and for that my family and I will be forever grateful. Anything you can spare is very much appreciated for this amazing cause.
