Story
My younger cousin, Ben, has recently been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a form of cancer that affects the body’s lymphatic system. Having just celebrated his 11th birthday, this has naturally come as quite a shock to him and the family.
In typical style, however, he has responded with an exceptionally positive pragmatism that I’m sure will see him through to a full recovery in time.
A crucial part of his treatment plan over the coming months will be CLIC Sargent, a leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. More information on the charity can be found via the link to the right.
To this end, I have decided to take part in this year’s Prudential Ride 100 London event on 2nd August on CLIC Sargent’s behalf. The cycle ride will take in 100 miles of London and the Surrey Hills and I will be aiming to complete the full course in under 5 hours.
I appreciate that you are all inundated with charity requests, but should you feel able to give something towards this vital cause, we would be extremely grateful.
