GLAAD has proven that it's culture-changing work toward LGBTQ acceptance is more important than ever. You probably know that, especially if you've been asking yourself why things feel more divided than ever. 

For me, it has been a year of blessing. I worked with over 120 partners, ranging from people fired from their jobs, to magazine editors, to global LGBTQ advocates, to reality show producers, to actors and singing, to voters across America, to corporations who want to be true allies to the LGBTQ community. 

GLAAD supported me with the release of my book, Made, Known, Loved: Developing LGBTQ-Inclusive Youth Ministry, and found ways to leverage my expertise in LGBTQ advocacy, faith, and youth. For me, the year culminated in being named to the Out100, a listing of LGBTQ leaders and influencers.

For our 2021 year-end campaign, GLAAD is forming CommUNITY, banding together to face violent opposition who seeks to divide and silence us. We will continue to speak up in the media, reaching new audiences with messages of LGBTQ acceptance and equality. We will speak up when the community is under attack. And we will promote stories, songs, videos, and representation that builds awareness, understanding, empathy, and acceptance.
