EMF 2018 5k

Edinburgh 5K 2018 · 26 May 2018 ·
I decided at the start of year to make a resolution, as we all do and then inevitably break. My mission was to get fit... well, it was to try running and not make the mess of it like I did when I (very briefly) tried in 2017. So I started jogging, though it consisted more of walking, with an aim to do the 5k in May. It might not seem like much, but the way I see it I'm that overweight it's like a normal person carrying a child the whole distance! So in a way despite the short distance this is my marathon.
Then I got thinking and decided to try and raise a bit of money for a charity whilst doing this. We have all been affected by cancer at some point, through our family and loved ones. Unfortunately there are often times when it cannot be beaten, and in those circumstances Marie Curie has been there for many to provide help with what time was left. It would be amazing to raise even just a modest amount for such a good cause.
