I'm doing this to raise much-needed funds for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance - trekking 66km through 3 countries in 3 days through the Mont Blanc region of the Alps - France, Switzerland and Italy.

It's a physically challenging route with lots of ups and downs, but the benefit to the local community is immense if I can raise as much money as possible for this vital, life-saving service.

The aim of EHAAT is to save lives, reduce or prevent disability or suffering from critical illness or injury, by delivering a superb, emergency medical service and each mission costs a staggering £2,500.

Without access to National Lottery funding and with very limited support from the government, they continue to rely upon the generosity and goodwill of people like us to remain operational - and that's why I am doing this crazy challenge!

This year EHAAT is celebrating 20 years of saving lives, so if I'm crazy enough to do this, surely you can be kind enough to dig deep and sponsor me - and help make a real and positive difference.
