Story

Heel is still knackered so training hasn't started in earnest!

I'm fundraising for the Simon Bates Foundation by doing this year's GNR

Well as some of you may be aware (and possibly astonished at!) I completed the GNR in 2013 in a time of 2hr 39m 40s which I was immensely proud of!

I have decided that I enjoyed it so much that I'm going to have another stab at it this year and am looking to get below the 2hr 30m barrier!

I had said that I wanted to do it once and that would be me done, but I was inspired by the adventurous nature of a friend that was taken from us at the end of 2013. Why would I not push myself to try another one when I blessed to have the chance to do it?

I know that I pestered you all for sponsorship last year, but if you could spare a few pennies this year both myself and the guys running the foundation will be most grateful.

Just to inspire you to donate, my employer, Zurich Insurance Group, will match any donation I receive by 50%.
