Story
In March, myself and 99 others from around the world will take on over 50km by foot of the Indian Himalayas to raise money for Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
I'll be spending over 8 hours a day on my feet, camping in the remote, not to mention pretty nippy, mountain range and ascending over 2,700m.
Following this, in early April I'll be puffing my way down the Champs-Elysees hoping to complete the Paris marathon. Safe to say I've bitten off more than I can chew!
I have set a target of £2,500 which will provide sufficient funding to provide 100 disadvantaged children in India the opportunity to engage in education and sport for one year, including the funding of equipment, training and volunteers to build a sustainable programme. When the chips feel like they're down I personally find sport one of the more effective ways of putting a smile back on my face, often taking for granted what facilities I have on my doorstep, so am super keen to give others such opportunities.
For the avoidance of doubt I have already funded flights, trains, visas, kit etc for both challenges so anything you are kind enough to donate will go directly to supporting Laureus' fantastic work!
Many, many thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Any pennies you can donate are hugely appreciated and will make a huge difference.
