Rosie Millicent Sullivan 10/8/04 - 25/06/06

Hello to you,

This is Rosie's fundraising page. Those of you who don't know Rosie's story she was diagnosed with a Grade IV atypical teratoid/rhabdoid brain tumour,  a rare and aggressive brain tumour. She had 70% of the tumour removed just after it was diagnosed.  Rosie then underwent intensive chemotherapy to reduce what was left  and prevent it from returning. After her second course she suffered from an intersuception of her bowel, unconnected to her cancer and common in young  children, but due to her low immune system she couldnt recover from it. She picked   up infections and couldn't fight them off. After about 2 weeks Rosie passed away as a result of the infections obstructing her oxygen levels. She fought it to the end   surprising everyone with her resilience.

Rosie was a happy, cheeky and special little girl. Anyone who met her fell in love with her. She is missed by everyone and left her mark on their lives. We are grateful to everyone on ward E39 and the oncology team, especially Richard Grundy, for all the care they gave her; all very special people! 

Rosie's little brother Jake, Mum Nicky and me Dad Marc are trying to raise as much    as we can for the Children's Brain Tumour Research so other children can hopefully beat this cancer.

I , Dad, have done a skydive with Rosie's Godfather and my best friend Guy. All money raised will go to this cause, we are currently at just over 2200 pounds as of 16 Sep. Please donate on here if you are unable to get to a sponsor form.

UPDATE:- SKYDIVE DONE. WAS THE SCARIEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE BUT IT WAS FOR ROSIE AND OTHER KIDS WITH THE SAME CANCER. I AM ON TARGET TO RAISE OVER £3000 WITH TESCO ADDING 20% TO THE TOTAL RAISED! THANK YOU ALL!
