Story
I completed my first full marathon last year with the enormous help of Rob who I propped myself up against for the last 7 or so miles.
I was over the moon when we stepped over the finish line but I remember, at about mile 19, saying to Rob I am 100% never doing that again.
Low and behold I couldn't resist the temptation so I am running it once again, but on my own this time!!
Rob is taking part but we are running separately. Its about time he got a PB seeing as this will be his 3rd now!
This year I am running for Cancer Research UK. We all know so many people who have been affected by cancer in one way or another, I have decided to raise money for this charity in support of all of the people who I know. In donating to Cancer Research you are helping to fund research into finding new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. They also work alongside the government to ensure that their policies tackle the major risk factors for cancer including alcohol, obesity, diet and sun awareness. As well as ensuring cancer patients are provided with world-class treatments including radiotherapy, surgery, and cancer drugs.
A charity entirely funded by the public!
