Story

I am running the London Marathon to raise money for the children's critical care appeal, Frimley NHS Foundation Trust. All of your generous donations will enable us to buy essential equipment used for the monitoring and diagnosing of asthma in children.

Asthma currently affects 1 in 11 children in the UK. Every 20 minutes, a child is admitted to hospital because of an asthma attack. Slough still has one of the highest admission rates in the UK for asthma.

The Slough Children's Asthma Service works hard to support families and children with managing their asthma. We educate families and children to give them a better quality of life and as a result, reducing hospital admissions and costs on our NHS.

My on-going training for the next 10 weeks consists of many post work runs, as well as a long run every weekend - minimum of 13 up to 20 miles! That's a half marathon every weekend, come rain or shine... All this hard work will be worth while if we raise as much as possible for this valuable service!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! Rosie x
