Story
On April 23rd I will be running the London Marathon for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). I will be running with my friends Anna and Felicity in loving memory of Anna's brother Robbie, who sadly passed away in January 2016, at the age of 27, from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).
SADS kills 12 young people every week in the UK due to undiagnosed heart conditions. However, CRY provides many services to try and reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac deaths by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
The London Marathon is a momentous occasion and I am sure I will enjoy the challenge knowing it is for such an important cause. Any donations are hugely appreciated and will go towards the charity CRY to contribute to their work. Your contribution, big or small, will go to a fantastic cause and help me run that little bit faster!
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk.
