Fundraising for Women's Aid Federation Of England
I am fundraising for Women's Aid, by cycling part of the Platform sponsored 200 mile route. Women's Aid have been at the forefront of shaping and coordinating responses to domestic violence and abuse for over 45 years. They empower survivors by keeping their voices at the heart of their work, working with and for women and children by listening to them and responding to their needs.
On the 22nd and 23rd of June, colleagues from Platform Housing Group are taking on an epic cycle challenge riding right across the Midlands. The group have chosen to raise money for Women’s Aid who work for with victims of domestic abuse.
A group will set off from Lincoln Cathedral on the 22nd June with the aim of reaching Worcester Cathedral by the end of the following day.
The 200 mile route will take in some of the group’s sites and schemes that make up the huge patch we cover from East to West.
Riders of all abilities will take on the challenge, some doing the whole route, others joining for 50 or 25 mile stages. The group includes a range of colleagues from directors to community officers, Property Care operatives and customer hub managers. Staff have told us they are looking forward to pushing themselves to support the work Women’s Aid does. I’d really appreciate your support.
Thanks again for your support.
