Story

I am training to take part in this 10k run in September which raises money for a local hospice which now incorporates Helen’s Trust. The event coincides with me coming to the end of my time at my practice and hopefully will give me something to focus on.

I did this 8 years ago and all I can remember is the very long hill section- it seemed to go on forever!

The photo is Dad and me before the run in 2016 - we both managed it!

The Chatsworth 10k is a 10km multi-terrain run held within the grounds of the Chatsworth estate. The event is organised by Blythe House Hospice, and all sponsorship money raised through the event will go supporting patients, families & carers living across North Derbyshire who are affected by a life-limiting illness.

The demand for services are higher than ever and in 2023 Blythe House Hospice launched a new Roaming Services which provides urgent and responsive patient care through the night, in conjunction with their existing Hospice at Home provision. In addition to the Hospice at Home service, patients at all stages of illness, family members and carers can also access counselling, physio, occupational & complementary therapies, group support, specialist palliative clinics and nursing services at the hospice' Community Hub located in the High Peak.
