Story

We are taking part in Forget Me Not Crafts!  This is a challenge to create five (or more) Forget-me-not themed crafts for Alzheimer's throughout the month of May.

At the end of April is Mum/Grannie's 80th birthday.  We wanted to celebrate/acknowledge her birthday in some way and this challenge seemed perfect!  It is six years since Mum was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's and five years this Spring since she started to completely not know who we all were by name.  She has deteriorated a lot over the past couple of years but still has that strong, stubborn determination inside her to keep going - we still get the same stern/disapproving look from her sometimes too 🤣🤣.  She really comes to life though when she hears her two beautiful great grandchildren 🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰.

We are hopefully going to make some knitted items, sewn items, cards and possibly some yummy treats too 🪡🍰🖍️.  We will post photos once crafts are made.

We hope you will be able to support us in our challenge and help us raise money for Alzheimer's in recognition of Mum's 80th birthday.

Emily, Florence and Rachel will also be taking part in the Alzheimer's walk in the Autumn if you would prefer to donate later in the year.
