Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving Page! I’m fundraising to support the amazing work that Thai Children's Trust do. It would be great if you could donate and share my Page so I can raise as much as possible to help them support various projects in Thailand to give vulnerable kids a brighter future..
Having retired from the teaching profession, I wanted to do voluntary overseas work, with deprived children. I learned of the Fr Ray Foundation in Pattaya, Thailand, which is in association with the Thai Children's Trust.
The Fr Ray Foundation is an umbrella for many social projects in Pattaya. During my two years there, I had the privilege of working in the following projects - The Vocational School, The School for the Blind, The Children's Village and in the Residential Home for the Elderly.
While volunteering, I found my life to be fulfilled, rewarding and enriched by my experiences, and on returning home wanted to continue expressing my support in whatever way I could. Therefore, having visited Queenstown, New Zealand, the birth place of bungee jumping, I saw an opportunity in challenging myself to raise funds.
Now approaching my 70th birthday, I am marking the occasion by doing my first bungee jump in Queenstown, in December 2016, in support of the Foundation.

UPDATE August 2016: now beginning to realise what I have undertaken to do. I am still excited at the prospect of the event, and very encouraged by the response to date. However I feel the countdown has begun and am reigning all my forces to raise further sponsorship for this very worthy cause.
