£1 a day or less is classed as living in poverty. £5. 5 days. 15 meals + snacks. Sounds easy, right? Try it in your head next time you do the weekly shop, you'll find you're putting back 40p bags of rice because pasta is 20p cheaper and opting for battery raised hens eggs rather than free range eggs like we had to do (which makes us feel rubbish). Imagine having to feed your children on £1 a day - when they finish their meal and tell you they are still hungry and you can't give them any because you need it to last all week. And that's not even the worst of it. £1 a day is pure luxury compared to what others have.
We are raising money for The Hunger Project to decrease world hunger. Donate what you can and if you can't afford to donate right now that's totally fine, but please point some of your friends in the direction of this page and encourage them to give a few quid to support us through our miserable meals.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
