We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

This medical research helps to take the pain away from the 10 million people in the UK suffering with the many forms of Arthritis. As well as this research they raise awareness of the conditions and the impact they have on people.  People often think arthritis is just aches and pains as you get older, but in fact there are over 200 different conditions including autoimmune conditions and those which affect young children.

This charity means a lot to me as I have first hand experience of the impact of arthritis and the importance of Arthritis Research UK's work. My sister was diagnosed with arthritis at the age of four and I have not only seen the impact this has had on her, but also the massive difference that the right support and medication can make.

There is still a long way to go in improving the treatment available due to the problems caused by the vast number of conditions and also the side effects from many drugs. Better treatments, quicker diagnosis and understanding of the conditions will only be possible due to the research funded by Arthritis Research UK.

I would be really grateful for your support to help Arthritis Research UK to find out more about the different forms of arthritis and improve the treatments available.
